Pixie and Brutus are good friends. Their story demonstrates that various characters can nevertheless take care of one another. Pixie is small, fun-loving and energetic. Brutus is huge, grave and dignified. They are incredibly alike and yet at the same time very different, yet they do hang out and have cute yet meaningful moments together. Pixie and Brutus Bonding
Pixie is perhaps speedy enough, yet is so small compared to other ones. She is stomping the dog and flees thinking that the game has been started. She seems to be delighted and proud of herself to take part. The other dog but he does not wish to play. The dog rather runs away instead of getting into the game. Pixie tries to follow, but is unable. She becomes fatigued and languid. Her excitement is replaced with disappointment. She knows that she may not be fast enough to take such a game. This renders her a bit depressed and marginalized.
Pixie stops and sits down. She is petite and has a depressed face. She starts to think that she does not play well as the others. She does not consider herself as a member of that game. This scene shows that even so lighthearted a character as Pixie can doubt and even be depressed. Then opines Brutus in the scene. He sees Pixie and is able to know how she feels without speaking a lot. Brutus is powerful and guardian. He does not like to see Pixie upset. He is not satisfied with the situation but he is more interested in reassuring her, in his own way.
Brutus tenderly touches Pixie and taps her. He again involves her in the game but this time in a manner befitting her. Pixie is immediately put in a good mood. She is noticed and loved. Her mood is alternating with sadness and cheerfulness. This is to demonstrate that a kindness may be very helpful. Brutus becomes serious in the game as well. He chases the other dog with intention. The other dog is frightened and attempts to get away.
This renders the story humorous because the situation is brought out to be a lot more serious than it was. It reveals that despite its being just a game, Brutus is very serious. Or some other, or instead, is glad to be a part of Pixie. Winning and being fast is not her interest. She takes pleasure in the moment and is a proud person. She even has a smile on her face, which indicates that she was just in need of being uplifted a bit.
Friendship is a slight countryside moral to this story. It shows that goodness and being empathetic is more significant than being a strong or fast person. Pixie and Brutus are at equilibrium. Magical ball and fun Brutus power and defense. They end up being closer to each other. So different they can be, and love each other. We also learn it in their life that the greatest friends help one another even in the insignificant but still important circumstances.
